course. High school diploma not necessary.
Train for work in child care centers or licensing your home for daycare. Course examines theories of how children develop and ways to create appropriate activities and learning experiences for young children. Course includes opportunities to gain hands-on experience working with young children in an actual classroom setting.
- Meets CalWORKs guidelines (300+ hrs). Class
meets core requirements for both Child/Human Growth and Development and Programs/Principles under Title 22.

Course examines the sociological relationships between
children, parents, family, school, and community. Explores
the value of childcare and other socializing agents affecting
the young child.
